WHAT IS VANS CUSTOM CULTURE?
Vans Custom Culture was created to inspire and empower high school students to embrace their creativity through art and design and to bring attention to diminishing arts education budgets. Vans believes everyone should be empowered to express themselves creatively and should be given the tools to do so. Custom Culture is a national high school customization competition using blank Vans shoes to be customized around specific themes. Once your school's designs are completed, they go through a voting process to narrow down our top 50 entries. Then, it's up to your school and classmates to garner votes from the public to choose our top 5 that go on to compete in our final event. http://sites.vans.com/customculture

Phase 2, mood boardIn your teams everyone create a collage of images that represent your theme.
once you all have created mood board, collaborate as a group and decide what message you are going to covey per your theme and how you all are going to achieve that. . |

Phase 3: Create a GraphicIn photoshop create a graphic that conveys one of the themes. makes sure to use inspiration from your mood board. you will be working and collaborating in a group of two, coming up with a concept. but each of you is responsible for your own graphic

Apply the graphic to a shoebreak into teams your teams of two and apply your graphics to a shoe!
