Shape Composite Art
Low Poly ARtIf you’re not familiar with the term, you’ve certainly seen the style. Simple geometric shapes placed side-by-side to create angular, often minimalist, compositions. The “poly” from low poly comes from the word “polygon,” which is merely a 2-dimensional shape made of straight lines and angles.
The use of low poly art comes from the early days of 3D animation. Mocking up 3D scenes using a low polygonal resolution. The look caught on and artist began to explore this poly planier study. The low poly look is in essesense a break down of the subjects form in its lost primal and basic essance. we will be using this method as it kind of speeks to the essence of endangered species begin, the break down of life. . |
ORganic Shape ArtLow Poly art utilizes geometric shapes. Geometric shapes are shapes such as circles, triangles or squares that have perfect, uniform measurements and don't often appear in nature. Organic Shape art uses organic shapes to make up an overall artwork such as a portriat. Organic shapes are associated with things from the natural world, and use very curvilinier outlines.
both types of art take a many shapes put together to create a unifying image. this is a great example of unity an art principle. Unity exists when your elements agree. Unity can be seen as the single most important goal of any design; to make your whole design more than the sum of its parts Zentangle art ( an emerging artform) takes the basic concept of this style and just expands on it by placing patterns inside the shapes. |
Subject: Endangered Species
Endangered Species
There has long been a fasicination with the targe scale wild cat, Tigers. Tigers, a are considered magastic and therefor make them highly sought after. Hunting is one of the biggest threats to the tiger’s survival. In the past tigers were prized by trophy hunters and killed to protect livestock, something which still continues today. An increasing demand for tiger skins and parts to be used in traditional Oriental ‘medicine’ also puts great pressure on the remaining population. Habitat fragmentation is another huge problem for the tiger and the reason for Tigers to be an endangered species, with populations becoming isolated and eventually dying out.

Endangered species are those considered to be at risk of extinction, meaning that there are so few left of their kind that they could disappear from the planet altogether. Endangered species are threatened by factors such as habitat loss, hunting, disease and climate change, and usually, endangered species, have a declining population or a very limited range.
The current rate of extinction is thought to be far greater than the expected natural rate, with many species going extinct before they have even been discovered. Shockingly, current estimates suggest that a third of the world’s amphibians, a quarter of all mammals and one in eight birds are endangered.
